Phi Delta Theta
Days of Giving
June 18-21, 2025
ABOUT
The Phi Delta Theta Foundation exists to fund leadership education and scholarships. Each of the 200 chapters receives an average of $8,500 in support from the Foundation each year. The Foundation also awards more than $600,000 in scholarships annually to help Phis fund their education. Your support today ensures we can continue providing resources and scholarships to Phis.
In conjunction with the General Convention, you can help your chapter win an extra $2,000 in funding for the next academic year. Chapters can use these funds as they see fit to fund educational experiences or academic awards for their chapter members. 8 chapters will win funding.
How it works:
- Each chapter has been divided into a division based on the number of living alumni:
- Alpha Division: 1,250 or more living alumni
- Beta Division: 750 to 1,249 living alumni
- Gamma Division: 250 to 749 living alumni
- Delta Division: 249 or fewer living alumni
- Within its division, each chapter is competing for one of two titles:
- Most Dollars Raised
- Highest participation percentage (# of member donors/ total number of alumni = participation percentage)
- Eight chapters will win, one chapter cannot win more than one award. If a chapter is in the top spot for dollars raised and participation percentage, the chapter that is second for dollars raised will receive second place in its division.
- Dollars are available for chapter use starting July 1, 2025.

COMPETITION SPONSORSHIP
The 2025 Days of Giving competition is proudly sponsored by Brother Charles B. Upshaw III, Richmond '74. Brother Upshaw will fund a chapter leadership fund for the eight chapters that win in their divisions in the amount of $2,000 each.
Brothers who joined the Chapter Grand this year have funded the other eight chapter leadership funds that will be awarded throughout the competition. These brothers have made these funds available through legacy plans with Phi Delta Theta. You can join the Living Bond Society by creating your own legacy plan with the Phi Delta Theta Foundation. This support ensures students have access to critical leadership programming in perpetuity.
The Chapter Leadership Funds can help chapters with educational expenses such as conference travel, academic awards, chapter house improvements*, chapter speakers, and other educational expenses.
*Chapter House improvements must be deemed educational in order to qualify.
Chapters win access to these funds by raising the most in their division or having the highest alumni participation percentage in their division, or winning some of the blitz competitions happening throughout the giving days.
